Flint Hills Technical College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach General Education courses in Essentials Math and/or College Algebra in a face-to-face setting, depending on course enrollment, beginning with the Summer 2026 semester. This is a part-time, semester-to-semester position designed for professionals who are passionate about supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in Essentials Math and/or College Algebra
- Deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with course outcomes
- Assess and evaluate student performance in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
- Communicate effectively with students and college personnel
- Adhere to College policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mathematics required OR
- Master’s degree in any other field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Teaching experience preferred
- Experience with online learning platforms
Compensation
- Part-time, adjunct (non-benefit eligible) position
- Compensation based on credit hour assignment paid at $600 per credit hour
