Adjunct Faculty - General Education - Mathematics

Flint Hills Technical College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach General Education courses in Essentials Math and/or College Algebra in a face-to-face setting, depending on course enrollment, beginning with the Summer 2026 semester. This is a part-time, semester-to-semester position designed for professionals who are passionate about supporting student success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in Essentials Math and/or College Algebra
  • Deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with course outcomes
  • Assess and evaluate student performance in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
  • Communicate effectively with students and college personnel
  • Adhere to College policies and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics required OR
  • Master’s degree in any other field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with online learning platforms

 

Compensation

  • Part-time, adjunct (non-benefit eligible) position
  • Compensation based on credit hour assignment paid at $600 per credit hour
