Hospitality/Culinary Arts Instructor

Flint Hills Technical College is seeking a dedicated and skilled instructor to join our Hospitality & Culinary Arts Program. Are you a passionate culinary professional who thrives on mentoring the next generation of chefs?

 

This is your opportunity to bring your kitchen experience into the classroom and shape the future of the food service industry. As a full-time instructor, you will teach hands-on culinary courses in food preparation, baking & pastry, food safety, and kitchen operations. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of professional kitchen experience or two years of teaching experience in the related field.
  • Must have ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, preparation techniques, and kitchen management
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • A positive, student-centered attitude and a passion for hands-on teaching
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Full-time, 9-month position
  • A competitive salary range of $40,000-$54,000, commensurate with experience and education level
  • KPERS retirement plan
  • Employer-paid health insurance for the employee
  • Annual salary is distributed over 12 months
  • Flexible teaching schedule.
