Graphic Arts Technology Production Instructor

Flint Hills Technical College is seeking a dedicated and skilled instructor to join our Graphic Arts Technology Program. As a full-time instructor, you will teach students the fundamentals and advanced skills in areas including: Wide-format printing, Offset lithographic printing, Digital commercial printing, Customer order production and project workflow

 

You'll play a vital role in preparing students for success in real-world print production and design careers. This position offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive faculty team that values collaboration and continuous program growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of two years of recent industry experience or two years of teaching experience in Graphic Arts
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and comfort using Mac-based platforms
  • Proficiency in all phases of graphic production, including prepress, printing, and finishing
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • A positive, student-centered attitude and a passion for hands-on teaching
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Salary and Benefits:

  • Full-time, 9-month position
  • A competitive salary range of $40,000-$54,000, commensurate with experience and education level
  • KPERS retirement plan
  • Employer-paid health insurance for the employee
  • Annual salary is distributed over 12 months
  • Flexible teaching schedule.
