Description

Students will develop skills and knowledge designed to prepare them for an administrative support role in an office for the twenty-first century office. Students through hands-on activities, internet activities, presentations, and group activities will learn to be a productive member of an office team, learn about international cultures, develop skills in technology, communication (written and oral), and critical thinking, teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership (soft skills). Students will use a 10-key calculator using touch method to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute percents and discounts. Students will key a 3-minute timing at 50/wpm. Prerequisites: BAT 101 Keyboarding and BAT 125 Word Processing.
