Description

A faculty-supervised work environment involving research into design, code, functions, systems and procedures that relate to real-world programming situations in a career field. This course allows a student to investigate in depth some subject matter that has been presented in one of the ordinary courses offered by the College and utilize those competencies in a career or job situation. Such a project is ordinarily in the area of concentration or in some field that the student is especially prepared. A student who desires to pursue a project must present a list of objectives and goals to be reached during the directed study in advance of the pre-registration period to the CPD faculty instructor who agrees to direct and evaluate the project. This course may, at the discretion of instructors, be taken as a substitute for select advance level courses.
