Description

This third semester course will provide the student with experience providing patient care in a controlled, supervised clinical setting. The student will complete a minimum of 348 clocks hours in a clinical setting (i.e. medical clinic, hospital, physicians office) as assigned by the instructor or clinical coordinator. This experience will include an Operating Room rotation for intubation, Emergency Department, Intensive/Cardiac Care Unit, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, Respiratory Therapy, and Behavioral Unit. The student will perform skills learned in the classroom on real patients in these settings while being closely supervised by physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists and registered nurses.
