Students will begin by learning the basics of industrial safety. That is followed by hands-on education in precision measurement with calipers and micrometers. The tools of the maintenance technician are covered next, with emphasis on taps and dies, chain breakers, and gear pullers. The final sections are lubrication and bearings, which are critical in manufacturing and power transmission.
