Description

Students will install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server database service software on a Windows server. They will examine and perform common tasks utilized by network administrators in the management of files, objects, users, and queries in an SQL database. Students will also analyze and demonstrate basic preventive maintenance and security practices in this software. Upon completion of the course students will be prepared to take a Microsoft Technology Specialist certification exam. If a student passes the certification exams associated with the first three of the five Microsoft courses, and one of the last two, they would become a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS). Prerequisites: Grade of ?D? or better in NET 117; cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher or Instructor approval.
